Finding Peace and Balance Through Yoga

I mainly practice Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga system and teach Yoga Chikitsa first series meaning "yoga therapy." This strong practice cleanses and strengthens your body, mind, and senses, improving your overall health. It helps heal both mental and physical health and boosts self-awareness and focus with regular practice.

I learned asanas, pranayama, mudras, and philosophy from Sri BNS Iyengar in Mysore, so my Ashtanga Yoga classes follow his style, including chanting and variations. I also practice with senior teachers from the Patthabi Jois tradition and honour their teachings. I trained in Iyengar Yoga with Usha Devi in Rishikesh and studied several methods like Dinamic Yoga, Jivamukti and restorative Yin Yoga.

Drawing from the teachings I received I offer a few class modules, including traditional Hatha Yoga and more restorative classes that suit all skill levels and adjust to each student’s needs. I believe everyone can benefit from Yoga. Students say my classes are both challenging and fun.

What is Pranayama?

Pranayama is a practical tool to control breathing in order to balance the life energy: Prana. It cleanses the body and mind by focusing on breath rhythm, depth, and holding. This helps calm the mind, relax the body, and improve awareness for better meditation and health. I was authorised by BNS Iyengar in 2015 to teach these techniques. Pranayama helps to calm the mind through breath control and it aids the practice of Yoga and meditation, it is an important tool for spiritual evolution.

Eight Limbs Yoga

This tantric and holistic path is traditionally divided into eight progressive limbs, each offering a unique aspect of practice and self-development:

Asanas and Pranayamas are meant to evolve the soul to come out of its hidden abode to travel in its frontier, wholly and totally mingling with each and every cell.
